St. Stanislaus head baseball coach Brad Corley stepped down Tuesday, closing the chapter on a five-season run at the Bay St. Louis high school.
Corley took over the program in April 2020 and compiled a 99-57 overall record, including a 33-13 mark in district play. Among the highlights of his leadership was guiding the 2023 team to a runner-up finish in the MHSAA 3A state championship.

Corley’s final season saw the team make a deep playoff run before losing in the quarterfinals of the 3A playoffs.
Before being hired as head coach, Corley was an assistant coach for the Rock-A-Chaws from 2015-20. He served as a pitching coach at Gulfport High School before joining the staff at St. Stanislaus.
As a player, Corley enjoyed a highly decorated career. He was Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year in 2002 before playing at Mississippi State from 2003-05. As a Bulldog, he was named to the All-SEC and All-American teams before being selected in the second round of the 2005 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He played outfielder in the Pirates farm system (2005-09) and pitcher in the Colorado Rockies farm system (2009-11) before deciding to turn in the cleats for a clipboard.
Corley has decided to give up coaching for the time being and begin a new career in business, concluding his time as both a coach and teacher.
St. Stanislaus has announced a coaching search will ensue immediately.
