Suspect believed to have killed Jones County man captured in Florida

The suspect accused of killing a man in Jones County has been arrested two states over in Florida.

Deputies in Escambia County, Fla., captured fleeing suspect James Tickner of Taylorsville Monday morning. Tickner, 43, was wanted after William Leo Busker, 33, was found dead inside a home south of Ellisville on Sunday.

According to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to shots being fired in the 300 block of Shiloh Church Road. Upon arrival, they found Busker unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

While the investigation continues, Tickner will be extradited to Mississippi where he is facing first-degree murder charges. Additional charges are possible, per the JCSD.
