The person alleged to be behind a deadly Cinco de Mayo shooting that took place outside a Mexican restaurant in Gulfport has turned himself in to police.
Jordan Tyrik Johnson, 25, is now in custody after a May 5 shooting outside Azteca’s Restaurant & Cantina on Highway 49 took the life of one person. According to the Gulfport Police Department, Johnson and Christopher Skinner, 34, got into a vocal argument that turned violent. Johnson then shot Skinner multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Johnson turned himself in around 9:30 p.m. on Friday and was booked into jail at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday. He is charged with first-degree murder.
