Texas police arrest man wanted for allegedly killing nephew in Mississippi

Authorities in Texas have arrested a man accused of killing his nephew in Mississippi.

Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones confirms that Jeremiah Keyes was arrested in Terrell, Texas on Tuesday. Terrell police spotted Keyes’ vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on I-20 West. He and Jackson native Jonjala Lee were discovered by authorities in the car.

The pair was arrested — Keyes on a warrant alleging that he killed Vicatavius Hobson, and Lee for illegal weapons possession.

Keyes, who has a history of being locked up for violent crimes, is being extradited back to Hinds County to face charges for Hobson’s death.
