On the eve of Memorial Day, a group of teens – one of which was sporting a Captain America mask – were arrested for trying to rob the Jersey Mike’s in Madison.

According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers were notified that an attempted burglary took place at the Highway 51 sandwich shop at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Upon responding to the scene and reviewing camera footage, it appeared that one of the individuals was disabling the security system while the others attempted to break in through the back entrance. All in all, the teens couldn’t get in, so they fled before being captured in Clinton around 2:40 a.m.

Due to their ages, the identities of the teens are not being released at this time. Anyone with more information is asked to contact MPD at (601)856-6111.
