The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) says a tornado was spotted earlier this afternoon in Yazoo County between Holly Bluff and Yazoo City.
A team is currently assessing the damage, but it appears one unoccupied building was impacted and numerous trees and powerlines are down in the area. So far, no injuries have been reported.
MEMA also reported flash flooding in Panola County at an apartment complex.
