A Tupelo man is charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing someone inside a gas station.
On Sept. 10, officers with the Tupelo Police Department responded to the North Mississippi Medical Center Emergency Room regarding an assault. Upon arrival, officials spoke to the victim and learned that they had been stabbed while standing in the register line at the Blue Sky gas station on West Main Street. There was no indication of provocation leading up to the stabbing.
After speaking with the victim, the officers made their way to the scene of the crime, where they gathered evidence and a description of the suspect from witnesses. Authorities were later able to locate the suspect, 25-year-old Wiltavion Finley, and take him into custody without issue.
He is currently being held in the Lee County Adult Detention Center without bond.
