The University of Mississippi and a local cannabis company are partnering for research purposes.
Representatives from the National Center for Cannabis Research Education at Ole Miss and Southern Sky Brands will work together to evaluate the effects of CBD on sleep quality among adult participants. The study will serve to conduct evidence-based research on CBD therapies and their potential role in supporting healthy sleep.
Specifically, researchers will examine outcomes such as: sleep duration, sleep quality, and participant-reported wellness measures.
“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to generating high-quality scientific data that can help patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers better understand the potential benefits of cannabinoids,” National Center for Cannabis Research Education Director Robert Welch, PharmD, said.
