A pair of brothers in Vicksburg have been convicted for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl who was being trafficked by her mother.

First reported by the Vicksburg Daily News, Benny and Hyman Crosby were found guilty of committing sexual battery against the unidentified minor.

During trial, the child’s father testified that his daughter informed him via a handwritten note that her mother had permitted the two men to perform oral sex on her for money that the mother was reportedly using to pay off her drug dealer. The father explained that the mother had a bad history with drugs and that he had her committed on a previous occasion.

The mother has since pleaded guilty to trafficking her daughter. Benny and Hyman Crosby will be sentenced on March 14. They face a maximum of two life sentences.
