This Traveling Memorial stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. It was made for the purpose of helping heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.

The City of Richland will be hosting The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall: A Celebration of Sacrifice, September 16th through 20th on Town Square at 380 Scarbrough St. behind the post office and next to the police station.

Admission is free and the Wall will be open 24 hours a day while in Richland.

On Thursday, the 16th, The Wall will depart at noon from 3984 Highway 49 in Hattiesburg, (Exxon Gas Station-next to Camp Shelby Southgate) and arrive at Town Square in Richland around 2 pm.

Mississippians are encouraged to safely stand along Highway 49 as the Wall passes through their city to show their patriotism.

9/17/2021 10am Opening Ceremony
