Yazoo man arrested for assaulting mother with skillet

A manhunt began early this week in Yazoo County after a man allegedly hit his mother in the head with a cast iron skillet.

Officials with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office say Cedric Ross assaulted his mother with the skillet after an argument over baseball cards.

Cedric Ross was taken into custody after turning himself in on Thursday. (Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office)

On Thursday, Ross turned himself into authorities and was charged with aggravated domestic assault.
