It’s going to be a great Monday despite the scattered showers and thunderstorms that will spread across the state at varying times of the day.

Northern Mississippi:

The northern portions of the state should see some showers and thunderstorms as they start their day along with temperatures sitting in the upper 70s. Cooler temperatures in the lower 50s are expected as the rain continues throughout the night.

Central Mississippi:

Weather in central Mississippi is expected to be mostly sunny for most of the day, but a slight chance of thunderstorms is anticipated for the morning. Small showers may be seen as the day progresses along with thunderstorms in the afternoon, but sun and 80-degree weather are expected for the majority of Monday. As night falls, rain should roll in with a drop in temperature to the upper 50s.

Southern Mississippi:

Sun can also be seen for most of the day in the southern parts of Mississippi, with a few showers and thunderstorms appearing over the day. Mid-80-degree weather will change to sit in the lower 60s as the sun sets and clouds thicken. Rain should fall overnight with a slight chance of thunderstorms also in the forecast.
