Scattered storms associated with a frontal boundary will affect parts of Mississippi early Thursday into Thursday afternoon. According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, the main threats include damaging winds up to 60 mph and hail up to quarter size. An isolated tornado can also not be ruled out.

Northern Mississippi–

Mostly cloudy and showers and numerous thunderstorms through tonight. Highs will be in the lower to mid-70s, with lows tonight in the upper 50s.

Central Mississippi–

Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms through tonight. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s, with lows tonight in the lower 60s.

Southern Mississippi–

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected through tonight, some of the afternoon thunderstorms could be severe, with locally heavy rainfall possible in the morning. Highs will be in the upper 70s, with lows tonight in the mid-60s.
