Northern Mississippi
Today will be mostly cloudy with areas of dense fog in the morning. Afternoon showers are possible with highs in the lower 70s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with possible showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the lower 60s.
Central Mississippi
Today will be mostly cloudy with patchy morning fog and a chance of afternoon showers. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s. Tonight will be cloudy with possible showers and thunderstorms, and lows in the lower to mid-60s.
Southern Mississippi
It will be mostly cloudy with patchy morning fog. Showers are possible this afternoon with highs in the upper 70s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms and lows in the mid-60s.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, and brief tornado or two remain possible Friday into Saturday for portions of central to east central to northwest Mississippi, northeast Louisiana, and southeast Arkansas. A severe threat is possible in isolated areas of southeast Mississippi. Timing is midday Friday into early Saturday morning near daybreak.
