Taking a look at your statewide forecast for Thursday, March 21, rainfall will be on the horizon in much of the state as Mississippi endures a dreary day.

Northern Mississippi

It will be a partly cloudy and hazy day in the northern region of the state with highs in the low 70s. Temperatures will cool off during the night, reaching the lower 50s.

Central Mississippi

The central portion of the state will kick off Thursday with patchy fog in the morning followed by haze and patchy smoke during the daytime with a chance of showers in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach highs in the low 70s and lows in the 50s.

Southern Mississippi

A partially sunshiney morning will greet those in south Mississippi before the clouds overtake the sky, elevating the chances of rainfall in the afternoon with high temperatures in the low 70s. As nightfall comes, temperatures will drop to the low 50s with possible showers on the horizon.
