Partly sunny skies will be seen across the majority of Mississippi today, with scattered showers forecast in several portions of the state.

Northern Mississippi

Mostly cloudy and sunny conditions will be seen throughout the northern portion of Mississippi today with temperatures expected to sit in the mid-70s. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will begin in the morning and continue into the afternoon and evening. After that, mostly clear skies will go into the night as temperatures drop to the lower 50s. Patchy fog will increase after midnight.

Central Mississippi

Weather in central Mississippi is expected to be mostly cloudy and sunny throughout the day with temperatures likely to stay in the upper 70s. A few showers and thunderstorms are likely to start in the morning and progress throughout the day and into the evening. When the sun sets, temperatures will drop to the mid-50s with mostly clear skies and a chance of showers to continue throughout the night. The chance of rain and patchy fog are expected will rise after midnight.

Southern Mississippi

Southern Mississippi will see mostly sunny skies today as temperatures are anticipated to sit in the mid to near 80. A small chance of showers will begin in the afternoon. As the sun sets, partly cloudy skies with some showers and thunderstorms will continue as temperatures drop back down to near 60 overnight. Patchy fog is expected to be seen after midnight.
