Increasing heat stress conditions are expected through Thursday across parts of northwestern Mississippi, southeastern Arkansas, and northeastern Louisiana. Heat index readings near 105 degrees will be possible during the late morning and afternoon hours each day.

Northern Mississippi–

Mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms through this evening. Highs will be in the lower 90s with heat index readings from 104 to 109. You could see some patchy fog after midnight with lows in the lower 70s.

Central Mississippi–

Mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms through tonight. Highs will be in the low 90s with heat index readings from 103 to 108. Possible patchy fog after midnight with lows in the lower 70s.

Southern Mississippi–

Partly sunny with patchy morning fog. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms through tonight. Highs will be in the lower 90s with heat index readings from 101 to 106. Patchy fog will return after midnight with lows in the low to mid-70s.
