Windy conditions are expected to develop over western portions of Mississippi Wednesday, where sustained winds of 25-35 mph and gusts of 40-50 mph are possible. According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, slightly lighter sustained winds and wind gusts will exist elsewhere.

Northern Mississippi–

Partly sunny and breezy with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms and highs in the lower 80s. It will be breezy tonight as well with the possibility of showers and lows in the mid to upper 60s.

Central Mississippi–

Breezy and partly sunny today with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 80s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and lows in the upper 60s.

Southern Mississippi–

Breezy and partly sunny today with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 80s. Mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s tonight.
