Your Mississippi forecast for Wednesday, June 15

With heat indices nearing 105 degrees in parts of MS through the end of the work week, heat stress concerns are still prevalent. Be sure to drink lots of water, avoid strenuous outdoor activities if you can, take frequent breaks, and never leave pets or kids in hot cars.

Northern Mississippi–

Sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Heat index readings from 104 to 109 with highs in the mid to upper 90s.  Clear with lows in the mid-70s tonight.

Central Mississippi–

Sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-90s with heat index readings from 104 to 109. Showers are possible after midnight tonight with lows in the mid-70s.

Southern Mississippi–

Sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-90s with heat index readings from 106 to 111. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight with lows in the mid-70s.
