Your Mississippi forecast for Wednesday, May 4th

A severe weather event is likely during the late Thursday into Friday time frame, especially for northwest portions of Mississippi. According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, that area shows an enhanced risk for severe storms. The greatest risk would be from late Thursday afternoon, through Thursday night, and into Friday morning.

Northern Mississippi–

Partly sunny today with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. Mostly cloudy with lows in the mid-60s tonight.

Central Mississippi–

Patchy morning fog with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs near 90. Cloudy this evening with lows in the upper 60s.

Southern Mississippi–

Patchy morning fog turning to sunshine with highs near 90. Cloudy tonight with lows in the upper 60s.
