The number of suspects taken into custody is up to four after two people were killed on the campus of Heidelberg High School following the football team’s homecoming game on Friday.
Jasper County Sheriff Randy Johnson said Monday night that Jadarius Quartez Page and Jabari Deshaun Collins had been booked into the Jasper County Jail earlier in the evening, according to WDAM-TV. Both Page and Collins are 19 years old and join Tylar Jarod Goodloe, 18, and Damarin Starks, 19, behind bars.
Goodloe, who was taken into custody Saturday, was charged with two counts of capital murder and possession of a weapon on educational grounds. Starks was charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence, while Page and Collins were each charged with accessory after the fact.

Gunfire erupted after the football game against Mize High School with two people found dead, one reportedly on the baseball field and the other near the bleachers. Another person was wounded in the incident.
Jesse Crosby, the deputy coroner in Jasper County, identified the deceased as Chris Newell, 35, and Mikeia McCray, 28.
The Mississippi High School Activities Association, the league that Heidelberg High School and all of the state’s public schools participate in, urged schools Monday to consider canceling on-campus tailgating events for the rest of the season.
Heidelberg wasn’t the only school shaken by shootings over the weekend. In Rolling Fork, a shooting injured one on the campus of South Delta High School, and at a downtown block party following Leland High School’s homecoming game, six were killed and at least a dozen injured. Suspects have been taken into custody in both of those cases.
“I highly recommend at this time that there be no tailgates on school property,” MHSAA executive director Rickey Neaves said. “All these events seem to stem from tailgates, so we recommend from advice from our attorney that we stop having tailgates on campus.”
Neaves clarified that, at this point, there is no rule in place requiring schools to do away with tailgating. However, if tailgating events are to be held, they must be supervised by school personnel while student sections inside stadiums must have security.
“Alcohol, drugs, tobacco and firearms are not allowed on school property, so make sure that people coming into these areas don’t bring any of this in with them,” he said.
