Travel numbers at the Jackson airport are expected to soar with the incoming Independence Day holiday, according to officials who are preparing for an influx of passengers.
The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) announced that airlines at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) are gearing up for a peak travel period between now and Monday, July 7.
Officials with JMAA encourage passengers to arrive at least two hours before their flights depart, ensuring ample time for parking, security procedures, and picking up a pre-flight bite to eat.
