The Hernando Water Tower festival will return to the historic courthouse square on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing more than 140 vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly activities to downtown.
Hosted by the Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce, the annual festival features arts and crafts vendors offering paintings, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, clothing, crochet items, and more.
This year’s event will also include Panola Street Eats, a food truck alley with 15 vendors serving fair food, tacos, pizza, Asian dishes, desserts and other options, along with seating areas for visitors.
The Water Tower Tikes Kidz Zone has been expanded with carnival-themed games, face painting, inflatables and other activities organized by the Junior Auxiliary of DeSoto County. A Touch-A-Truck event will be part of the children’s area for the first time.
Organizers say the Water Tower Festival is one of Hernando’s largest community gatherings, drawing families, visitors and even pets for a day on the square.
