Fans of Grammy-winning artist Jelly Roll were given the bad news that the artist would not be taking the stage alongside Post Malone on the first leg of the Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2, which included a show at Ole Miss. But, on the bright side, the “Son of a Sinner” singer is not punting on Mississippi altogether this year.
Instead, Jelly Roll will be making two stops in the Magnolia State as part of his The Little Ass Shed Tour. The first concert will take place at the Brandon Amphitheater on June 3, while the second will occur two days later on June 5 at the BankPlus Amphitheater in Southaven. Both shows were announced Monday and will feature country artist Jay Webb.
Jelly Roll was originally scheduled to join Post Malone at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford on June 5 — the date the Southaven concert is now set to happen — but the performance, along with multiple others on the duo’s tour, was canceled.
Post Malone cited needing more time to finish his latest project as the primary reason behind the cancellations, though it’s noteworthy that some of the shows seemingly struggled to sell tickets with promoters offering discounts and other incentives to attract concertgoers.
As for Jelly Roll’s upcoming concerts in Mississippi, tickets will be available for presale on Wednesday and for the general public on Thursday. Tickets can be purchased here.
