An investigation is underway after an individual broke into a Jackson elementary school and stole multiple valuable items.
Jackson Public Schools announced on Thursday that a suspect broke into Casey Elementary near Ridgewood Road overnight. The individual, described as a Black male in his late teens to early 20s, is reported to have forced entry into the school around 1:20 a.m. on Thursday.
The suspect, who is believed to stand at around 5-foot-10, had a white bandana covering most of his face, while wearing a gray baseball cap, a black hoodie, and camouflage shorts.

Authorities say the suspect stole electronics, credit cards, and other items before fleeing the scene with a backpack that he had stolen. No one was at the educational facility when the thief trekked it, and no injuries were reported.
