A man accused of making a fake bomb threat in Tupelo is behind bars.
Local law enforcement officials reported Thursday that 61-year-old Allen Morgan has been handcuffed and charged with false reporting of a bomb or explosive device.
He is accused of calling Lee County 911 on Monday, claiming that he had a bomb in his vehicle, which had previously been towed.
After the call was made, police were able to track Morgan down on Tuesday. He is said to have been at North Mississippi Medical Center, where he was arrested for public intoxication.
Following his arrest, a judge ordered Morgan to be held in jail on a $5,000 bond.
