Are you ready, kids? If so, nautical nonsense is on the horizon with SpongeBob Squarepants set to make a stop at Keesler Federal Park.
The famous pineapple under the sea resident and main character of Nickelodeon’s animated series “SpongeBob SquarePants” will be at the Biloxi Shuckers game on May 24. SpongeBob will be in town to visit with fellow goofy goobers, as the ballpark will turn into a Bikini Bottom of sorts with skits and games centered around the hit show.

For those looking to be guaranteed a picture with SpongeBob, a special VIP meet-and-greet time slot will be held from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are available online.
The Shuckers will be taking on the Birmingham Barons that day with first pitch set for 5:05 p.m.
Through 35 games, the Shuckers (16-19) are last in the South Division of the Southern League, though they are only 1.5 games back from first place. The Milwaukee Brewers’ Double-A affiliate still has plenty of opportunities ahead to catch up, and potentially lap, its divisional foes. The team’s full schedule can be found here.
