After a mass shooting in Centreville left two people dead and seven others wounded, a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
Southwest Mississippi Crime Stoppers announced the reward Tuesday, four days after the shooting near Best G’s Store and Orchard Café on Highway 24 in the early morning hours of July 4.
Authorities said law enforcement was notified after multiple gunshot victims arrived by private vehicle at Fields Health System hospital. Nine people had been shot, with two later dying from their injuries.
The deceased were identified as Dekevion Andrews, 19, and Donovan Jackson, 22. Those injured were identified as Jerryon Roger, 20; Cameron Robinson, 18; Latelvin Henyard, 19; and four juveniles ages 14 to 17.
The Centreville Police Department, Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office, and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
