Currently, the closest Dave & Buster’s locations to Mississippi residents are in Memphis, New Orleans, Mobile, and Birmingham. But a vote by the Ridgeland Mayor and Board of Aldermen on Tuesday night cleared the way for the popular restaurant-arcade chain to open its first Mississippi location.
Mayor Gene McGee and the Board approved site plans for a proposed Dave & Buster’s as part of the 77-acre Prado Vista mixed-use development at Colony Park Boulevard and Sunnybrook Road.
The development is one of several projects by Gabriel Prado across the Jackson metro. While Prado Vista remains in its early stages, its anchor attraction, Topgolf, opened in December 2024.
“This exciting entertainment destination represents another milestone in Ridgeland’s continued growth and investment in quality-of-life amenities,” McGee said in a statement after the vote.

Dave & Buster’s, which opened its first location in Dallas in 1982, now operates more than 170 locations across 44 U.S. states and territories, as well as in Australia, Canada, the Dominican Republic, India, Mexico, and the Philippines. The chain’s website touts a menu of “mouthwatering” food and “innovative” drinks, along with a sprawling arcade featuring games for kids and adults and wall-to-wall TVs with “epic stadium sound” for sports fans.
If the project moves forward – officials saying construction could begin by the end of 2026 – Dave & Buster’s would become the latest addition to Prado Vista, where city leaders have also approved plans for a 50,000-square-foot Madison County Conference Center and an accompanying boutique hotel.
The development is also expected to include more than 220 homes, a national grocery store, and additional retail and office space.
Other Prado developments across the Jackson metro include the Prado Hotel on County Line Road in Ridgeland, a growing number of Don Gabriel Market convenience stores, and the $50 million Prado Lofts project on Meadowbrook Road in Jackson. Prado also purchased the English Village shopping center on Fortification Street in Jackson in September 2025, though much of the property has remained vacant aside from Boondocks BBQ.
