State’s COVID-19 total rises to 4,274 with 300 new cases

The Mississippi State Department of Health has reported 300 new cases of COVID-19 and an additional 7 people have passed away from the virus. 

The new cases bring Mississippi’s total number of cases up to 4,274 with 159 COVID-19 related deaths. 

With Mississippi yet to reach its peak, the statewide ‘shelter-in-place’ was extended until April 27th by Governor Tate Reeves late last week.
