Alumni of Harrison Co. School District Help Clear Lunch Debts

The Harrison County School District received nearly $3,000 to help out the child nutrition program to clear debts at eleven schools. The nonprofit School of Athens, which includes alumni of Harrison County schools, was behind the generous donation. Additional local donations during the same week cleared debts at North Gulfport Middles School and Harrison Central Elementary.

Food Service Director, Brad Barlow joined Rebecca Turner on Good Things to share how this ample donations impact the child nutrition program and why unpaid lunch debts have a wide-reaching effect on the district.
