An Open Conversation About Adoption

November is National Adoption Month, and it is a time to honor birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive parents. Deciding to adopt is the first step to an often lengthy, daunting, and financially straining process. The good news is families can find financial and emotional help when choosing to expand their family through adoption.

Through generous donations and fundraising efforts, Hearts of Compassion, a ministry of Colonial Heights Baptist Church, provides financial assistance to qualified families on the road of adoption.

Rebecca Turner had an open conversation about adoption with Julie James, co-found of Hearts of Compassion, and Carl, who is in the process with his wife of adopting a son.
