An investigation into the death of an infant at an Oxford daycare facility has resulted in an arrest.

The Oxford Police Department has arrested 23-year-old Amy Rogers on a culpable negligence manslaughter charge after the 8-week-old infant died at Mother Goose of Oxford, Inc. back in mid-November.

Details surrounding the child’s death have not been released and the investigation is ongoing.

The facility’s license remains suspended by the Mississippi State Department of Health after an order stated that “the facility has been determined to constitute a substantial hazard to the health and safety of infants entrusted to and cared for by said facility.”

Mother Goose of Oxford, Inc. has held a license since 1999.
