Arnie Hederman entered the national political scene in the early 1990s at the Republican National Committee, under then-Chairman Haley Barbour. After returning to Mississippi, he served as executive director of the Mississippi Republican Party and in senior staff positions on numerous campaigns, including the 2003 Barbour for Governor campaign. In 2011, Hederman was unanimously elected chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party. During his tenure, Republicans won seven of eight statewide offices and won majorities in the Mississippi House and Senate for the first time in modern history. In 2025, Hederman was endorsed by Gov. Tate Reeves and elected by the MSGOP’s State Committee as Republican National Committeman.
