The bodies of siblings were pulled from a Mississippi lake late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
The brother and sister whose identities have not been released were discovered dead in Walnut Lake in Benton County.
Benton County Sheriff Robby Goolsby told WTVA that someone noticed two empty kayaks and notified police. Crews recovered the sister’s body shortly before midnight before finding the brother’s body a few hours later.
Investigators are still unsure as to what led to the siblings’ deaths, although they do not suspect foul play at this time. The siblings lived along the lake.
