A Harrison County teenager has been arrested and charged for making terroristic threats against a high school.

On Thursday, a school resource officer at West Harrison County High School was alerted that a photo of a gun accompanied by a threat against the school was posted on social media.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, the school followed the proper protocols and the 16-year-old boy was arrested at his home shortly after.

The suspect was a student at the school in 2018, but he was not registered for the 2019 school year.

After he was arrested, deputies conducted a search of the home and the gun featured in the post was recovered.
