Mississippi has once again exceeded 1,000 in terms of daily coronavirus cases.
On Wednesday, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 1,025 new cases of COVID-19 with 18 new deaths.
This brings the total amount of cases that Mississippi has seen up to 38,567 with 1,290 deaths.
Hospitalizations also continue to spike as the state currently has 825 people checked into hospitals due to the virus.
The Magnolia State currently sits at 5th in most cases per capita.
