COVID-19 cases surpass 100K in Mississippi

The state of Mississippi has now seen over 100,000 total cases of COVID-19.

On Saturday morning, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) confirmed 609 new cases of COVID-19 with 16 additional deaths induced by the virus.

The total number of deaths now stands at 3,011.

Earlier this week, Governor Tate Reeves allowed a statewide mask mandate to expire.
