State health officials continue to stress the importance of wearning a mask despite the absence of a statewide mask mandate.

“It’s such an easy thing, and it adds benefit to our safety. It allows us to keep schools open, allows us to keep hospitals from overflowing and it allows us to visit people in nursing homes,” State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs recently said.

As of Monday, an estimated 94, 165 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
