Dunn Utility Products invests $23.3M in expansion of New Albany plant

Around $23.3 million is going to the expansion of the Dunn Utility Products plant in New Albany, nearly doubling its current workforce through the addition of 30 jobs.

The Mississippi-based company, which manufactures reinforced concrete pipe and precast concrete, announced the plans to expand the current facility into the Enhance Mississippi Shell Building on Tuesday morning.

Plans include the construction of a 100,000-square-foot building that will house two new concrete pipe and wet cast concrete manufacturing plants.

Dunn Utility Products released that other plans to expand the facility up to 400,000 square feet is anticipated in the future with the purchase of a dirt pad at the site.

“We are excited about the growth opportunities and becoming a part of the community in New Albany, Mississippi. Our Dunn Family of Businesses have had a presence in Mississippi since 1927,” Mark McCormick, Vice-President and General Manager of Dunn Utility Products, stated. “We look forward to continuing our growth in the great State of Mississippi and being a part of the continuing economic growth of our state.”

The Mississippi Development Authority, Union County, and city of New Albany are providing aid in support of the project.
