Farmers (of many things) impacted by COVID-19: USDA extends assistance deadline and expands covered commodities

The USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program provides direct relief to producers who faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19.

USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue has announced that the deadline to apply for has been extended to September 11th. The original application deadline was August 28, 2020.

Just recently, the USDA expanded the list of commodities now covered by the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program.  And yes, crawfish are included…
