It’s official — after entering the transfer portal less than five days ago, former Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins has committed to play for Ohio State.

Coming off the Rebels’ first-ever 11-win season, which was capped off by Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl victory over Penn State, Judkins decided to pursue what he believes to be a greener pasture — one specifically in Columbus.

In his two seasons at Ole Miss, Judkins piled up an impressive stat sheet and received numerous honors. The rising junior rushed for a combined 2,725 yards and scored 31 total touchdowns on the ground in his freshman and sophomore campaigns, earning him first-team All-American honors and a Conerly Trophy.

The move by the former Rebels’ standout has led some to speculate that Buckeyes’ starting running back TreVeyon Henderson will be declaring for the NFL draft, making Judkins the primary workhorse and a prohibitive favorite to be a Big 10 leader in rushing come 2024.

As for Ole Miss, it was reported on Monday that veteran back Ulysses Bentley IV will be returning to play under Lane Kiffin for another season alongside freshman Kedrick Reescano, who is highly praised by those within the program.

Sources have told SuperTalk Mississippi News that the team will also be looking to the transfer portal to add another rusher to round out a three-headed dragon of backs similar to what Rebel fans have seen in the past — and we know how effective Kiffin and company have been in the portal.
