The Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Mississippi.

The Globetrotters will bring their 2020 “Pushing the Limits” World Tour to the Mississippi Coliseum on Wednesday, January 15th at 7 p.m.

The world-famous basketball team, which recently set six Guinness World Records, will look to create even bigger and more amazing moments when they bring their tour to Jackson. The Globetrotters will attempt to set a new world record before a live audience at the Coliseum.

Globetrotters star Animal Hyche, a Provine High alum, will visit the area on Tuesday, January 7 to talk about the team’s upcoming game.

The 6-foot-5 Globetrotter is a native of Jackson and attended Provine High School. There he earned dozen honors and became one of the top-150 players in the country. He later went on to attend Talladega College before joining the Harlem Globetrotters.

According to a news release there will be new additions to the show.

“In addition to their record-setting feats, the team will bring a new spin to their legendary Magic Circle pre-game performance which will be done in the dark with a glow in the dark basketball.”
