Police in Jackson are still looking for two individuals involved in an August home invasion that left one dead and one kidnapped.

On August 30 around 9:30 p.m., deputies responded to a fatal shooting in the 3700 block of Jayne Avenue. Upon arrival, they found 43-year-old Anthony Brown dead and an infant child missing from the home.

A later report revealed that the child’s mother, 18-year-old Jazmyn Johnson, was behind the kidnapping and Brown was the boyfriend of her mother, who was granted full custody of the child. Johnson was taken into custody and charged with capital murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping. The baby was uninjured in the incident.

On Friday night, officers with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) arrested 21-year-old Keyonte Charleston for his role in the incident. They also released the names of the other two individuals believed to be involved: 17-year-old Tristin Goodlett and 20-year-old Shanichoulas Taylor.

The three suspects are facing similar charges to those pressed against Johnson. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact JPD at (601)960-1234.
