Culinary enthusiasts in Mississippi will soon get their fill as the JXN Food & Wine Festival returns to the capital city for a three-day culinary showcase featuring celebrity chefs, tastings, and entertainment.
The festival is set for March 20-22, in the Art Garden at the Mississippi Museum of Art, bringing together local and nationally recognized culinary talent. The weekend begins with a Friday night dinner at 7 p.m. at the Mississippi Children’s Museum, where Chef Chair Nick Wallace and other feature chefs will present a multi-course dining experience paired with wine.
Some of the featured chefs include James Beard Award semifinalists Hunter Evans of Jackson’s Elvie’s and Austin Sumrall of Biloxi’s White Pillars, along with other culinary talent from across Mississippi and the country. Additional events include the festival’s signature tasting experiences on Saturday and Sunday, featuring samples from more than 25 chefs, wine and craft beverage tastings, cooking demonstrations, and live music.
Organizers say the event highlights Jackson’s diverse culinary scene while bringing together top chefs and beverage experts to celebrate Southern food culture. VIP and general admission ticket options are available, and all attendees must present a mobile or printed pass for entry.
A portion of the festival’s proceeds will support the Mississippi Restaurant Association Foundation, which provides scholarships to students pursuing careers in culinary arts and restaurant management. The annual event is organized in partnership with Visit Jackson and The Local Palate, showcasing the city’s growing reputation as a destination for food and hospitality.
