Global electronic manufacturing services provider Keytronic plans to expand its Alcorn County footprint and create 376 new jobs with an $8.89 million investment.
Keytronic designs and builds complex electronic and electromechanical products. The company’s Corinth location is a full-service facility with production capabilities, including electronics assembly, final assembly, product fulfillment, warehousing, and distribution.
The Mississippi Development Authority reports that the latest project will involve the rehabilitation of the existing facility, including roof renovations, along with the addition of new electronics and final assembly production lines to support increased demand driven by recently awarded customer contracts.
“We are very excited to expand our operations in Corinth. We have an incredible and dedicated team that we consider our extended family,” Keytronic President and CEO Brett Larsen said. “We look forward to continuing our long and mutually beneficial relationship with the community of Corinth and the state of Mississippi.”
The Mississippi Development Authority is assisting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive program. Alcorn County, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and AccelerateMS are also financially assisting the project.
“Keytronic’s continued growth in Corinth is a strong vote of confidence in Mississippi. Companies invest where they know they can move quickly, find the support they need and achieve results,” Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork said. “That’s exactly what our team and local partners work to deliver every day. When companies are ready to grow, Mississippi is ready to help them get it done.”
Originally opened in 1961, the Corinth plant, which has has operated under Keytronic’s name since 2014, currently employs around 420 workers.
