Man accused of killing eight will face Grand Jury.
“The judge did bind it over for grand jury consideration, according to our rules of professional conduct, specifically for prosecutors, we do have to say that Mr. Godbolt is innocent until proven guilty,” said Brendon Adams, Lincoln County Assistant District Attorney.
Willie Corey Godbolt, the man charged with eight deaths from a deadly Lincoln County shooting spree in May, has been bound to the Grand Jury.
Godbolt is charged with one count of capital murder and seven counts of first-degree murder after a deadly rampage in May killed seven family members and one Lincoln County Deputy William Durr.

The other seven victims, all related, were Barbara Mitchell, age 55; Brenda May, age 53; Tocarra May, age 35; Ferral Burage, age 45; Shelia Burage, age 46; Austin Blackwell, age 11 and Jordan Blackwell, age 17.

Adams said the investigation is ongoing, but that the case would be presented to the first available grand jury after the investigation is completed.
