A Louisiana man wanted for making terroristic threats to roll the dice and leave hiding but was quickly captured while playing the slots at a Mississippi casino.
30-year-old Brian Keith Williamson, of Tallulah, was taken into custody Sunday by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Vicksburg Daily News. A warrant had previously been issued for his arrest after allegedly threatening a public official in Louisiana, which is directly across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg.
Louisiana State Police notified the sheriff’s office on Aug. 28 that Williamson could be in Vicksburg. An investigation resulted in Williamson being found while sitting at a slot machine inside one of the city’s casinos.
Upon being arrested, Williamson was also charged with possession of methamphetamine. After refusing his right to be extradited, he is being held at the Warren County Jail until Louisiana issues a governor’s warrant for his transfer.
Information regarding the terroristic threat allegedly made by Williamson has not been released at this time.
