The Lowndes County woman accused of killing her husband on Facebook Live has been indicted by a Mississippi grand jury.

Officers arrested 28-year-old Kadejah Michelle Brown on the morning of March 26 after responding to a domestic violence call at 500 Green Tree Drive.

The victim, who died from a single gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at the scene. A handgun was recovered at the apartment along with other physical evidence.

Brown was then charged with murder for fatally shooting 28-year-old Jeremy Brown at their shared residence.

Sheriff Eddie Hawkins later released that the husband had been shot the morning after an argument with his wife. Both individuals had a previous record of domestic violence.

“There was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim. This was a tragic and senseless murder and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim,” Hawkins stated. “Fortunately, Brown is in custody and we look forward to the criminal justice system holding her accountable.”

A trial date has not been set at this time.
