Mississippi Aquarium to release 11 endangered Kemp's ridley sea turtles

The Mississippi Aquarium will be releasing 11 endangered Kemp’s ridley sea turtles on Friday afternoon between 4:30 and 5 on the beach in front of Edgewater Mall in Biloxi.

This will be their first large-batch release of 2022 after multiple during the previous calendar year.

They will conclude this week, which is Invasive Species Week, on Saturday with activities at the quarium beginning at 10 a.m. Guest presenters from the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources and the Audobon Society will be on hand throughout the day.
